Delivering strategic impact through Data Governance
Clarion Housing Group is the largest Housing Association in the UK with a strong ambition to become data-driven. As part of their digital transformation journey, a full ERP/CRM platform was implemented to streamline the processes throughout the business. The challenge was to ensure the effective use of the data to continuously improve the data quality across the platforms and to unlock the strategic value.
Our Explore process enabled us to understand the current data landscape and to establish the areas of focus to support Clarion’s ambitions. Critical tasks identified included - data ownership, raising the awareness of the role and use of data within the business and increasing engagement with data governance to improve the quality of the data., which led to the organisation restructuring of the Data Governance Office (DGO) and the recruitment of the Head of Data Governance. Working with the newly established Data Governance Office, we provided guidance and support to the team, successfully helping to shift the understanding, ownership, value and use of data across the organisation.
